Mlodinow, Leonard. Elastic: Unlocking Your Brain’s Ability to Embrace Change.

In this book, Mlodinow analyses the process of thought with an emphasis on how the human mind deals with change. In order to have a positive mindset adapting to change is a large part of it. He says that many people believe they are not capable of being innovative and creative; they believe this quality is only for a selected few and they cannot be one of them.  However, in this book Mlodinow says that idea is wrong. He works to prove that anyone’s mind can be involved in “elastic thinking”. The phrase “elastic thinking” refers to thinking outside of how we normally do and changing the way our brains think about problems and life.

Dweck, Carol. Mindset: The New Psychology of Success

In the book Mindset, Carol Dweck describes mindset as an attitude or outlook on life or a situation. She establishes the idea that it does not just influence how one performs in school or work, it also influences how people develop relationships and their view of the world around them. She also focuses on the idea of failure and the role it plays in really testing one’s mindset.
